Angels

Do you believe in angels? I do. I have encountered them several times. Not visibly, but definitively present. There are countless stories of people who’ve had encounters with angels. They are real.
In art they are everywhere. In churches of course, but also elsewhere in art, in the streets, as ‘victories’ on pillars, as warriors, and also as evil beings… for there are not just good angels who serve humankind. Do you believe in the fallen ones?

Heavenly messengers

Angels are sent to serve those who will inherit the Kingdom of God. But they are also known as messengers. As warriors. Sometimes they are depicted as tiny children with dove’s wings. Sometimes as females with bare breasts. Who do you think are the good heavenly servants in the above photos?
